what kind of riding are you doing a sprocket change in the back might get you what you want without the engine work.

Sandman is right, first. . . what kind of riding do you do?

Now if you like to climb and want to say, Oh my freekin' god . . . the following will help:

High compression piston 11:1 for pump gas 12:1 for race gas or 13:1+ for alky
Cams (you will lose some low end grunt so if the answer to the question above is trails - you may want to pass on the cams.)
Port work (anything from mild port work to a full race head (Pami, Ron Wood, TVI, etc.)
If you do the cams you will probably need to do heavy duty valve springs and if you do those you will want to do shim under bucket design.
Now that you have all this power you need heavy duty clutch springs.

And you will probably want the TM45 carb and a real good high flow pipe.
