Just installed a Holeshot electric shifter...
MrMeaner,
I'm planning on heading up early Sat morning(prolly be there between 8-10:30). The shifter i have is basically an ignition cut-out box with a brake light switch. You attatch the switch to your shifter lever and when you pull the shifter up with your foot it cuts the ignition momentarily to unload the tranny. The tranny shifts right into the next gear. High HP motors would stand to gain more because the clutch slips more than you think if your keeping the throttle pinned. It would make it much easier on your clutches, eliminate the need for Hulk type springs(though big hp motors would need more than stk). There is no risk of bending forks if adjusted correctly(you'll know if its not right). The only thing it'll do is momentarily kill the ignition, and thats only when you lift the shifter. You can still shift like normal when its armed. In fact, i've noticed smoother shifting when putt'n around with it on, even using the clutch. You don't notice the momentary kill. Oh yeah, the kill time is adjustable...
I'll definatly look for the "Mean Machine"...
