BajaMark, must be nice to be crazy and rich. I got the crazy side covered.
The 5 year warranty doesn't care what oil I run. However, if there is an oil based failure, you know they'll claim I ran it low.
90+ degrees in the sand? I would run 20-50w. Thinner in the winter.

The premium blue is not just for diesels, it's just certified for diesel use. Which means it carries all the same certifications for gas, plus extra's for diesel operation.
I drive a diesel pickup, so all I use is diesel certified oil in all my engines (lawnmower, 4Runner, Ford truck, and the DS). It has better viscosity retention, better anti-foam agents, and has better soot encapsulation abilities than standard gas certifications.
Especially in high revving engines, the anti-foaming ability is the best benefit.
Just my .02 cents,
Glenn

There will be one or more API specs listed. Read the label on the can of oil, don't use it if doesn't meet one of the API specs listed in your manual.
I use Valvoline ATV oil, cost about a buck more than regular car oil. May be worth it for it is special made for ATV's.
It list this:
Meets or exceeds manufacturer's warranty requirements. Will not void warranties.
Meets or exceeds API SF/SG/SJ
Meets JASO MA specifications
