Yea def thanks for the heads up, checked mine and was glad to see not much in there, cleaned it and shes ready to go, glad u posted this before i got to installin my oil tank back on my DS, perfect timing!!

 

CHECKED MINE TODAY WHILE DOING OIL CHANGE ON 04 BAJA X. LOOK VERY CLEAN. THANKFULLY. GOOD IDEA TO CHECK THOUGH, I COULD SEE HOW IT COULD EASILY GET STOPPED UP. 11/16 DEEP WELL SOCKET FITS PERFECT.

 

Everyobody check the oil tank screens. Biggersbetter usually reminds all, havnt seen him here, so I thought I would.

When you go through clutches or just wear and tear on the motor/break in etc that screen gets little flakes and excess sealant, clutch fibers etc. I just cleaned mine the other day and got a good amount of debri out of there.

Before every season this is vital to check if you havnt already. If this oil screen gets clogged and red light comes on it WILL BE TO LATE!! you might do the motor very bad. Id check every six months just to be safe.




EDIT- WHOOPS I just saw that dragon pulled this up recently. But it doesnt hurt to bring it up again.
