Little sahara last weekend
i didn't get the bike together early enough to make it up there Saturday. i got there sunday AM. it was wet and drizzled for a few hours in the morning. i only had a few hours on sunday to get a few hot/cold cycles on fresh topend and to make some runs.
i had not previously dialed in the tires/gearing for the 8 over swingarm, so that was one thing I was working on. there is a huge difference in transfer between a +4 and a +8. i was trying to gain back lost traction. i geared up some and take off in 2nd gear at 7500 revs, but still seemed to spin too much (was geared for 66mph wheel speed @ 10,000RPM in second gear). will need more paddles and taller tire for short 300 foot races, to help off the line against the drag banshees, to get back the pull of the +4, and to take full advantage of the +8 by setting it up to barely skim the ground with the front tires.
some of the competition headed out sunday AM when raining, so I missed some competition that was there on Saturday.
i ran a few mild drag banshees. win some, lose some, same story... but getting better every trip. my first problem with the drag banshees is not lack of enough power or too much weight, it is the launch, that is why I went to the +8, just need to gear it and paddle it right. seems like the drag banshees park their toys at the drag strip and don't run them much at all, kinda annoying.
i didn't get outrun by any 4-strokes, aside from bad starts. but the baddest 4-strokes were not there.
the 300 foot track looks great. i didn't run it though.

I wanted to run the drag strip, but didn't have the money lol... bad thing is, it's CHEAP!!!! $2 a run, 3 for $5 or 10 for half a day. and there's nobody there, so you'd get to get some good back to back runs in. I was beating the 686's at little sahara "thank god they weren't craycrafts" and beat 2 of the 3 quadzillas. Did anyone besides me fall victim to the extremely fast sport 400 that was stomping the drag banshees? "i think it beat the yellow and red one"

DollarBillz, no I didn't. I got to the last ATPT event sunday around 10:30 am & it looked like most people had let so my brother & I when to rocky ridge & rode that day. I hate that I missed everything, but will not be missing his next event. Hows the new track coming along? I saw your bike run @ rabbit creek (run) drag races a couple weeks ago. Glad that everything is ok with your "Craycraft" rappy.
Later!

i heard the same thing about your dads bike. dad said he thought it was alot faster than last year and out running just about everyone. he said he thought it was about as fast as the old black bike. we did some things to dads as well, if not i think your dad would have been able to out run it.
