I'll agree I am sure that motor won't make it into a quad, but I do think that is the motor everyone is talking about. Aprilia used to use rotax, and then started making their own motors, and this is what they came up with. I have heard nothing official of a new 400 class Bomb, but if anyone has some real proof, I would be just as interested as everyone else.

Last I heard Aprilia was developing a quad. There was an article in one of the mags about it and it showed that pic. of the engine. I don't see any reason it wouldnt end up in a quad.
It probably will cost more (kinda like the Canondales) but it will also probably kick some serious tail! Aprilia has some of the best engineers in the bussiness.
I'm not sure why it would have to cost 4 times as much as the Honda and Yamaha 450's except that the Japanese engines are dirt bike derivitives. Aprilia has been making motorcycles since the 60's. The only one I ever road was amazing. The closest thing to it I've seen is a Ducati Monster.
The article didnt mention it having anything to do with Bombardier but it's possible. Aprilia does engineering work for many magnifacturers in Europe just like Kawasaki in Japan.
