I agree Aprilia could make that quad. I doubt an ATV will see that 80+HP Vtwin though. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is about a doubling of anything else stock, ever. Cross your fingers and say your prayers....
Look at what bomb did with the DS650.....at the time it came out not to many companies were thinking about putting 650cc in a sport quad. So I wouldnt see why they wouldnt be the first to have a quad that is almost double the power of anything on the market. It would be pretty interesting to see what that motor would do in a DS650 frame. Why wait for a 450 class?........ build your own.

Fact is, if Bombardier came out with a twin cylinder 2-stroke it would cause quite a shockwave in the industry. There would be a lot of jaws dropping and drooling going on lol.

Four stroke never was and isn't going to be any time soon (at least in the next 2 years). Your info seems to be very intersting

Bombardier is doing pretty well, they have passed Kawasaki in ATV sales this year. They are not going to just sit around and settle for fifth place. I hear of a 700 Outlander, maybe a redesigned Qwest, with shift on the fly 4x4, maybe IRS, maybe EFI. I'm sure a 450 is on the drawing board, but I too heard they went back to that drawing board after the YFZ came out. IF they could pull off that 450 Aprillia V-twin in a flyweight MXer it would rock the ATV world,,,,,and that is just Bombardier's way of doing things....

The 700cc 2 cylinder 4 stroke Utility machine is a done deal, it's just a question of whether or not it'll be an extension of the Outlander lineup, or a Quest. My hunch is that the single seat Quests and Traxters will be phased out over the next 12-18 months, ( I hear the 2 seaters are selling well) while the more popular Outlander lineup is expanded.

There are also rumors of a refined/expanded Rally lineup, Bombardier knows they would do pretty well with a 250cc Rally to go up against the Polaris Trail Blazer.

It would be very intresting for them to make an MX Racer in the 450 class to go head to head against Yamaha and Honda. Throw in all the greatness that the DS is for. I'm sure they can make a killer machine. Just have to wait and see....

an interesting side note....

I was watching on some channel a GNCC race even. They had a rep from Suzuki, and he said they had to get back into the game. The intresting thing he mentioned is "it doesn't stop here... in 2005 we are going to give what everyone is waiting for". Perhaps a new quadzilla?
