what would make me slow down??
I have a 2000 ds650 I had a stage 3 jetkit with either the 190-195 jet in it custom end cap and K&N filter.. I went to the 1/8th mile track and ran a 9.6 against my cousins 10.5 on his baja.. I was taking him by 6-8 lengths sometime more.. well I took my stock pipe off and replaced it with an MBRP and I was like dead even with him.. that is a MAJOR LOSS right there.. so I ripped it off and put the stock pipe back on and I am just barly pulling on him now... I used to be able to sit at a stop let him take off and then I could take off and blow right past him... now its everything I can do to pass him.. what could be the cause of this?? his baja was new when we where first raceing.. is it possable that it got faster during the breakin?? but I am now struggleing to pass my freinds z400 also.. HELP

One of the guys you saw me with there last time crashed on a steep hill and is still in the hospital, he won't be out until this weekend, a bunch of internal bleeding and stuff. there was another guy there last weekend that broke his neck...I broke a front fender...dam skinny *** trails.

is a good place to figure your elevation and the elevation of the places you ride.
I take it after all the exhaust changes you went back to the "fast" jet settting?
Also, are you using K & N jets or Mikuni?

First off, your cousins Baja definately will get faster as it gets broken in.
Second, you will have to go back the the strip to find out if you really lost time or not. You cousin is probably getting to know his machine, and thier should be hardly any differnce in yalls machines anyways.
IF your DS feels sluggish, make sure your plugs are clean(that MBRP may have sooted them up a bit) and then make sure your air filter is clean. ALSO it very well could be your clutches are starting to slip!! So I would go ahead and order the Ron Woods 60% springs and install them, cause on the DS if the clutches slip you wont notice it, you just wont have the TOP-END you once had.
