A while back there was discussion of an ATV Connection gathering. . . anything ever happen?

I was thinking it would be nice to get together at Sand Mt., Utah for a few reasons.
1. I've never been there!
2. Seems to be more centrally located than many other places so many of us would have a drive but, a livable drive for most of us!
3. I've never been there!
4. There are already events at Oregon (Dunefest), Glamis, Sand Mt., NV - (DS Days & Memorial Day).
5. I've never been there!
6. I'm not driving to Texas and I don't think there would be many from CA that would make the trip.
7. St. A's isn't as centrally located but. . . I've never been there either!

Usually what happens now is everyone posts bitching about the location. . . this time let's just live with Sand Mt., Utah and decide WHEN!

I have Delta, Utah as the nearest town. (Useing it for Weather and Maps??)

Best months look to be - May, June, Sept. and Oct.
Average Temperatures - Monthly

I would pick
Columbus Day Weekend as my personal first choice (Oct 9-11)
And, Father's Day Weekend (June 19-20 as a second choice)

Well. . . just got driving directions and it actually looks like a LONGER drive than it would be to Dumont. . . Well. . . no wonder we haven't all decided to meet up there! Driving Directions from Texas to Utah

Well, I still want to go! I can get to LS Utah in 10 hours from my house. I'll go. Your two choices might find you on the cold side but might be a beautiful time also in Oct. The June date will most likely be in the 80's-90's so the Oct date is my choice. I'll take the cold over the heat anytime. There's not a better drag race hill in the country IMO.

Anybody coming from the Northwest owes it to themselves to stop at St.A's for a day or two, those dunes are the most awesome thrill ride.

 

Anybody who rides sand dunes at all.. owes it to themselves to hang out at St Anthonys for a few days or more. The best Sand Dunes in the country, bar none.

Thats about 1,410 miles & 21hrs 57minutes from Dallas,Tx
And about 2,269miles & 35hrs 41minutes for the east coast guys.
maybe next time, it's great for the west coast people. take some pictures & videos for the rest of the forum members.
thats along way to go to get my a$$ handed to me. i'll wait for something central located for everyone.
