After the first ride on the 2004 Baja X
Well i have the 2001 DS for about a year and a half and i like it alot!
i just rode for the first time on the 2004 models which are lighter shorter less wider + some other stuff than my 2001 DS
well it seems to be a bit easier with pulling it up for a wheelies... more faster than my DS for sure... it takes 2 secs to get it up in every gear from 1000 rpm to its limit of 7900 !!! its amazing...
but the only real thing i dont get it ... ITS NOT STABLE
i hit the throttle and the quad start dancing left and right... i just cant get it driving in a straight line on the dust areas ... On turns it runs madd not because its 10 times faster than mine
i think its cuz of mine is wider and its muchh more stable than the X does...
any way my conclusion if i spelled it right.. is that the x is faster easy for wheelie and mine is a better smooth ride and much more fun to ride on....
any comments?

Yep, a 127lb person is not going to have much effect on the suspension. Softening that up and the bike would be alot better on you. Thats why your bike feels so much better. That 04 sure was a change, wasnt it. Im really happy with mine!

Did you check your tire pressures (they should be the same on the left & right) and your front end alignment? My V-Force was very “darty” when I first got it, I checked the front end and it was toed in about ¼ “. I adjusted the tie-rods so that it was toed out about the same amount and it made a world of difference in straight line stability, especially on high traction surfaces…
