I have a ds and a z, and i much prefer the z over the ds in the woods, but that is the only place. you put a pipe and other little things on the z and it will be plenty fast enough, but the ds has much better suspension and alot more power, choose what you want though, you wont be disapointed with the ds or the z.

I am 14 also and i can killl a ds. They are mosters though not the best for woods. If it flips you are doomed 500 pounds is a little much for 14's like us to be geting landed on. Get something lighter. Whats this about 400 being wussy? that z 400 is a monster. great machine. As the little thing about running out the cops. Be on road when your going on trails. Thats how people really get hurt especially running from cops. Then you see atv's band from PA,Ca,ny.nj and so on. Make the right decictions. Be a smart rider and if you want to show the kid up show him where it is most impotant eithere a drag strip or a track later man hope you get something killer

Yea, lol i never said that 400 is wussy but its just to small i got a 400 2 stroke dirtbike that will dust a 400 quad. I want a DS650 cuz its a big bore and i needa race against that KFX700. Anyway, where u live in pennsylvania, is it right near the border of maryland because my dad lives there?

I know how you feel though man, If I was you I would get one. When I got to the honda dealer and showed him the 400ex he's like wouldn't you wanna start on something a little smaller like this one (pointed to a 250ex) I said no I don't plan on upgrading machines for a while. Plus a 250ex would've been tiny for me 5'10" 170 pounds. I think so. Go for the DS. If I bought another quad. It would prolly be a DS
