No matter what you buy, every quad gets beat at some point. There is ALWAYS a faster quad out there.

 

yeh! those yfz are fast, somebody i no told me that somebody in lawton ok. i guy had a ds. that was a ronnie woods ds, and it was on alky, and would do 96 mph in 300ft. what do yall ds owners think true or false, he said the guys name but i foregot it. i think its not true.

 

Not sure how to ask this but here goes.

Say I am a 230lb rider and I have a stage 2 DS with cams/piston/carb/pipe/cdi/intake porting/valve springs...If I was to get on a stock YFZ what would I think? How about a piped one?
What would have to be done to make the yfz be as good as my ds in power to compair? I am not asking ride and stuff just strickly performance...

I know the guy in Lawton, but he hasnt had a RW DS in a long time. He is very fast, but 96mph in 300ft aint happening[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I think 66 in 300ft would be awesome!

He and I will be at LS this weekend, so come see for yourself[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] I will try and get DSmike to come play also.

biggerisbetter i talked to mike yesterday he needs to ride his ds it has set to long, i seen you over at whitefeild raceing turbo bobby, i think you need some texas long horns on your quad. i new that the guy quad in lawton would not be 96 mph in 300ft, had to see what kind reaction i would get. this guy that told me that is allways saying something crazy. i got my vforce running good, i still have room for improvement.

 

what would i have to do to mystock 03 ds to get it to be as fast as an 04 ds??

To get you 03 DS -as fast- as a 2004 you might be able to do that by having Mr. HP port your intake, which gives 4 HP. If you want to be faster, get the porting, setup the carburetor the way he recomends & buy one of his end caps, then you are fast than an 04 DS for about $250 total. The only thing you have to be weary of is that the end cap is not spark arrested, so you either have to make your own spark arrester (just some sort of metal screen will do) or just ride without one & make sure that you can legally do so or risk a ticket.
