Default amount of time to remove intake?

I am going to have my tank and some plastic off to do my valves, and thought that would be a good time to go ahead and remove my intake to send into MR.HP Approx how long does it take to get the intake out? can i just unscrew it from the head/carb, or do i have to actually REMOVE the entire carb? is there a good way to go about getting the top bolt out?

any special info/precautions need for a beginner to remove this?

Thanks guys

Hey roost, the top screw is a little tricky. Get a ball end allen wrench so u can go at a slight angle. I put the ball end allen wrench in the screw and then got a pair of vice grips and put it on the other end of the allen wrench so i could have a lever to break it. Once u get it broke it is a piece of cake getting itthe rest of the way out. Any more questions let me know. U can get a cheap set of ball end allen wrenchs from auto zone or a part store that sells tools for around $7 if u dont have them already. Lance Also u dont have to remove the carb if u dont have an aftermarket carb. If u have a stock carb u dont have to remove it.

Without problems about 20 minutes. If one of the bolts strips like mine did up to an hour, because of the trip to the store.

Had to remove the header pipe to get a pair of vise grips in there to remove it.
