Picked up the X on Friday (Thanks to Sean (jetsnow600) for bringing it home) and headed up to Sand Mtn NV Saturday morning. The place was absolutely packed Saturday. I was with a couple of other buddies, one on a Z400(stock) and the other on a piped Raptor. I rode all three bikes and all I can say is I couldn't wait to get back on my X. The ride was amazing compared to any other quad I have ridden. My 9 paddle extreme haulers hooked up awesome. Almost too good. I had a hard time keeping the frontend down when I ran a couple of drags on Sunday afternoon. I definately need to work on my starts. I was pleasantly suprised to see that I was running with or beating all of the piped Raptors and Predators I went up against.

I only found a couple of very small things on the bike I would change. The first being the lever for the foot break. The darn thing just sits too close to the motor and needs to stick out a little further. I felt like I was always hunting for it. Nothing a vice and a good tug cant fix. The second is the darn red overheat light on the dash. I'm not sure why Bomb made these lights stick out from the dash. Everytime the sun would catch it, it would look light it was on. Something I will just have to get use to.

How does the x compare to the old stlye?

Nevermind I just saw your other post on how to do this.

 

My rear brake was the same way: I grabbed on it and pulled. It bent easy enough now its fine, bent but fine.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

i wont agree with you guyz...
i say 2001 or 2004 and on...
2002-2003 same but narrower... dont know... the 01 wheelbase feels much more good then the other versions...
i think 04 should have the same wide wheelbase like the 01 ....
i rode 100's of ds's ...i felt much more good on the one's that had wide wheelbase...
