UPDATE from Sand Mountain UT
Well I spent most of Saturday @ the Dunes hanging out with Dsaholic and his crew The Punisher and his son. They are a great bunch to hang with, we chased thru the dunes and chilled in DSaholics new 30' toy box. The weather was beautiful and the sand was awesome, and for the most part the bike ran excellent. In the dunes it performed flawlessly and on the hill ( valley side) I continued adding more fuel to the bike with the new 100LB/hr injectors. I still have more tunning on the map to do but now it pulls that whole massive hill in 5th gear at @ 7500rpms. The power is amazing it comes on so smothly and is so controllable ( except for some whoops that almost threw me off the bike ) but once thru the whoops it just pulls hard and strong. This is a full 2 gears increase in performance, in comparison when I was running a 25 shot thru my NX sytem I picked up one full gear. So I 'd guess that realisticly I'm pushing about 100hp and maybe in the 70's in the torque column. Anyway it makes for a very fast and exciting ride. One guy came up and just couldn't believe the blurr he saw on the hill was 4 stroke , that kinda put a grin on my face.
The only bummer was that I was still too lean at times and pressurized my cooling sytem to the point that I blew coolant out the overflow, so It's time for a new head gasket. Each trip is progress and I'm still in the learning mode but steadily getting there.
I should be good to go for DS days - see you all there!

Right on Curtis, That is good to hear. Was there any competition for you out there? Sounds like shes really comming alive.
Have you thought about the copper o-ring w/ tripple layer head gasket? I sprayed a whole bottle through my motor yestarday and it held together to my surprise. I personally would not run a built motor w/out an 0-ring. JMO. But it really sounds like your making severe power.
Did you ride in punishers Rhino?

the more time you spend on the turbo setup the better it will get!
the only time i got my head to seal was when using studs for the four 8mm head bolts (even 10mm bolts wouldn't seal, studs were required). i also had to use 600 grit sand paper on a piece of glass to smooth the head surface to a near mirror finish. i VERY CAREFULLY torqued all eight 10mm studs to 55-57ft-lbs.
check plugs for black specs. back off timing or lower boost or add fuel or lower static compression.
my new turbo setup should be together very soon.

Mario, how big a shot did you run? how many runs / bottle? How did it feel? Good to hear its holding together.
Scooby, How soon before you'll be up and runnning? Are you gonna try to make it to DS days? My count is at least 6 turbo bikes will be there- you gonna make it 7? Will be some very good competition there.

UPDATE from Sand Mountain UT
Well Curtis said it all. I got to ride his new Turbo Monster and it feels very impressive, it wold take some time riding on it to get the shifting down just right but Curtis pretty much figured out. Thanks for the ride Curtis, makes me want my Baja back, short the TVI engine.
It was great to have your son out there also, I don't know who got the bigger kick out of it, my son or yours but they both thought it was pretty cool they were born hours apart on the same day and year.
And of course their is DSaholic, Matt's bike ran real strong and I am impressed with his mods it felt like my old Stage 2, but a little stronger. It was also nice to meet his new girl and her friend, they were both pretty cool and i am glad they didn't fall asleep during my Hollywood stories. It is always a good time to hang with you guys and I appreciate your friendship. The Punisher Assauilt vehicle did pretty well and I can't complain to much, except for my miss informative Temp Gauge. Hey did I borrow my temp gauge to anybody out there by chance?? I can't seem to find mine. Any how all was great and I look forward to DS Days, if I can manage to make it.
Oh, Matt by the way I forgot that I had your Tire gauge in my pocket, PM me your address and I will send it to you. Take care everybody.

UPDATE from Sand Mountain UT
Well it was good to see the Turbo finally get to run the full hill. That thing makes some power for sure. Just for fun Curtis and myself raced the hill so everyone could see just how fast it really was needless to say he gave me a head start, he started when I was at the woops and when it was all said and done Curtis was at the top and I was at HALF THE HILL. I can pull the hill in 3rd gear so my bike is not slow but it looked like I was going backwards when curtis passed me. So I think that he has a monster and all it needs is a little more tuning time and it will be reliable and super fast.
Tony, it was good to hang out with you again and your storys are just as funny as the first time I heard them. That rino of yours sure is a trip and I can't believe that is gets around that good in the sand. I hope that you can make it to DS days it is looking like it will be one heck of a showing for DS's this year. I will pm you my address for the gage.
