What's the story with this ATV - any testimonials from actual riders. Read all the press on this special ed. quad, but am interested if it lives up to this.

Norseman,
Yes, the XT does a super job, I'm certain you will love it. If you use it for utility work where you actually want it to do somethihng, you will be super happy, if you only ride like lightening through the woods, you might want some other model, it only runs abut 55mph, feels good, is alittle larger that some.
The beauty of the XT is when you need power, traction, grunt ability and want to actually do something.
Best quick example I can give about the grunt ability was when I met a chap with a Yamaha Grizzly, he wanted to show how powerful his 600cc Yamaha was, so we went nose to nose, it was a sad event because it was so easy to push the Griz backwards I did not even feel good about it. Sort of like the feeling you get if it were a 4 yr old on a tricycle.
Like I mentioned, the grunt ability / traction has to be experienced to understand.
Could get into the features but you have read about them I sam sure, folks over 40 love the step thru design, the nice shifting and easy serviceing. Could go on but you get the picture, I like mine and would buy another if this one got stolen.
Good luck

wow and what were we smoking be4 we did this ummm from what iv heard the traxter doesnt have as much power as the grizz yeah it performs better in the mud because of the "true 4wheeldrive" but no i think whatever u were smoking made u think that the trashcan in your yard was a grizly therefor u could push it

ATV Magazine had a test of all the big bore bikes and Chose the Traxter as the top dog.
In fact they said" the Grizzly proves that bigger is not always better"

Another thing is that My Arctic Cat 500 has more torque than the "BIG BAD" Grizzly.

YamahaRyder18,
Gee I agree with you that the Griz resembles a trashcan, also Im sure a 3 yr old on a tricycle could give a trashcan a fit.
I also agree with Boner, any direct drive atv will make a your Griz look non scrappy, Heck a Yamaha Tera Pro is much more scrapy than your beloved Griz junk. Such a big engine and totally gutless, must be the rubber band drive ?

Boner,
When you put your outlaws on your 500 Cat, if you put wide ones in the back you will need spacers.
Otherwise the tires will rub on the muffler. I have 27"x12x12 Vamps in the rear without spacers and they rub the muffler. Hope you like them.
Also beware of the lift kit on the front of your machine, talking about near future damage and cost that will happen. I have a friend that is putting out almost $1,000.00 just in parts because of the lift.

Huh??? Where did I mention Outlaws??

I ordered 4 27x12x12 Tri-Claws. If I would go with Outlaws I have Already decided to put 28x10.5x12 Outlaws.

When I get a power kit, I don't think I will have a problem with the tires rubbing the Supertrapp.
