??? i used to have to pull start my ds all the time. get it going 10-15 mph on hard pack, put it in 5th and dump the clutch, and she usually lights up first second or two. (its odd...i havnt had to do that since i had my trusty orange odyssey)

if you mean ds wont start, by itself, i agree with you. (have never tried it with the ds as it probably wouldnt work, but we used to run as fast as we could with our honda 125 m three wheelers and click it up into first and get them going [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] )

 

Nup , when that battery is really dead the bike wont "pull start" either , we tried that , im not talking about not enough "cranking" amps, im talking when the battery cells break in half from the vibes .

No pulling or pushing will "jump start the beast then.

Thats what worried me out in them big dunes ........ so i found the real cause and fixed it .

On the flat battary thing i trailerd my Ds to the beach only to find out it was flat, Tried tow starting it nothing got a set of jump leads on it it started but as soon as we took the jumpers of it started missing
and took about ten minutes before it would take throttle, it must have been so flat the it wasnt sparking all the time or itwas so weak it only caught every other fire

 

well guys, I have to say thanks for the advice. I just ordered the PC545 for my DS. One question. How long does the shipping take? I didn't see this on the website. The price listed was $72.99 + $5.50 shipping. Not bad considering it's cheaper than the stocker and hopefully far more reliable.

hmmm shipping wasnt bad at all for mine. (im in illinois...dont remember where sunn is located) but i think i got mine in like 2-3 days. I remember being VERY surprised at how fast it comes (being sent standard mail), and especially with it weighing half of what the DS does.
