DS650 Warranty work
I have put 30hrs on my ds now and i have had to send it back for warranty for two items.
1/ The tacho has played around since new, sometimes it sticks around 5000rpm even when i turn it off, until i tap the side of the tacho. This has since been replaced and now is ok.
2/ After my bike sat in the shed for 2 weeks i took it out to ride and the battery was dead flat. Would not even light the nuetral light, put some jumper lead's on and no problem. My dealer tried to tell me this is normal. I jumped up and down and told him what i thought of his theory and he reluctantly put a new battery in and now no problem.
Has anyone had either of these problems ????
Our state has only the 1 bomb dealer, not many sold over here(about 70 since they come out in 2000)

I thought mine was the the battery also. The dealer replaced it and after three days it would go dead. From the forums (dealer didn't know anything about it) it turned out to be the water temp switch bleeding current even without the key in the machine. The dealer replaced and no problems since. I just started the machine after 2 months of sitting.
My '03 would not start after a period of time. I would make sure there is no current drain on the machine while sitting.
