What are the most reliable and longest lasting sprockets and chains...Also is it ok to use 520 chain instead of 530?...what about X-ring Vs. O-ring??

 

Sidewinder is the best chain but customer service sucks.

 

I have the RK X-Ring chain, man that sucker is strong, only had to tighten it up once and even then it was only a hair loose, i like it alot, but it is heavy.

 

Available through your Bomb dealer (Maybe even ebay) you can get a set up for 520 chain....supposed to eliminate 8# of rolling mass!
I us RK O-ring chains, but I think any o-ring chain is fine.

i dont think its 8lbs its like 2lbs. PLUS DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YOU CAN GET DIFF SPROCKETS FOR THE 520? LIKE A 14 TOOTH INSTEAD OF THE 16/40 GEARING????????????????????????????????

 

my christmas list consisted of a 15tooth sprocket, MR HP lightweight chain, star and hubs to save a few lbs of rotating mass

 

this is asked out of casual interest, as i wouldnt change to 520 , but has any one got dyno figures for rear wheel horse power 520 compared to 530

 

Smee, I am running a 15T front...........so I assume 14T is available.

The dealership told me it was 8# diff..........I am not sure. Personally, I like the 530.
