Al, The double buffs have a good amount of side wall and VERY dunable. The tripple buffs are paper thin.
The double buffs are the same as hauler carcus exept they are smoothed out a little bit more. The shaggyness of the rubber is just simply shaved down a tad.

Just get the bigger springs and the boondocker nos kit, and the 22s youll be just fine.

Just moved out here in July and just now went to Dumont. Armagosa is very calm compared to Dumont but I can see why everyone goes to Dumont. I have a set of 8 paddle haulers that I am about swap with a friends wifes quad. Both are skat but she wont use the Haulers for what they are intended for... so she will be happy with my V edge skats. The Haulers are 22" 8 paddle. So I will try them out for the cost of dismount and mount.
How much is a barnett clutch? and is the handle stiff?
I could call Mario family, so what he says....Goes!

You will be very happy with the 8 paddle haulers. That is more than enough paddle.
If you feel you need more and your Haulers are in good shape, maybe we can trade. I've got a set of 9's but after seeing Eric run with only 6, I now believe what Lyle from Sparks has been telling me since I've known him. That everyone runs too many paddles.
If you don't have the horses, too many paddles will rob power from you.

My stock clutch put up with two seasons of abuse before it went south. I'm running 22" 9 paddle Edges.
The weak link in the system isn't the stock clutch plates, it's the springs. Barnett springs are stiffer, and hold the load better, but some folks don't care for the extra effort needed at the lever. Run half stock/half Barnett springs, they'll hold the load on a mildly built motor, and lever effort isn't much higher than stock.
