Default I need suggestion for a good carb DS650

im using the ron wood boot. but i had to find a pipe a little bigger than 2" and heated it to form it, and now it works fine.

We use a different boot, the stock one is two diff diameters on the inside.

this might sound silly but the raptor has twin 36 doesn't it? would there be any benefit on a ...........well you know cough ..ahummm putting raptor carbs on a DS ? cough ...ahhummm ..

seems like raptor carbs are 33mm, but regardless of size they are CV type carbs just like the DS stocker with vacuum slides and there's more gain to be had with flat slides.

People always try to invent new things. They never look back and see if someone has not figured this thing out a long time ago. BMW did, so use what parts they have. It might even be much cheaper than getting a brand new single carb.
for quite a few years lots and lots of guys have ran, and still run, dual flatslides, Kiehin's too, up to as large as 39mm.
the dual carb intake manifold for the BMW can be gotten extremely cheap, either from dealer or RWR.

thanks HT,

well thats no good then. maybe a pair of flat sides off a sled? needles and jets would need to be changed obviously.
