where to get sand paper for sanding the clutch discs?

Default where to get sand paper for sanding the clutch discs?

i went to walmart and every hardware store in town and noone has 280 grit, elliot at tvi said sand with 280 on a peice of glass so the plate is flat where can i get some 280? i have 320 will that work? thanks in advance

280 is alittle too coarse
300-320 is fine
Cut a strip 3x8
Tape to glass - length away from you
lay disk on paper with paper going threw center of disk
pull towards yourself 2 times
rotate and continue till crosshatch is across face of disk
turnover and do opposite side as above.

Default where to get sand paper for sanding the clutch discs?

Have the steels bead-blasted and run stock oem fibers with a good synthetic like Amsoil, heavy springs, and no-slippy, good to go.

so does tha sand paper go through the middle of the disc? wont it get caught and rip on the teeth?i understood it all till you got to the paper going through the center of disc, do i tape the far end of the paper away from me on the glass or the near end? sorry i have so many questions thanks oldmanracing

i see what you mean now 3 inches wide will fit in the middle of the disc , the far edge being on top of the paper and the close end under the paper with the far end taped thanks alot olmanracing i really needed the help
