Cam choice

I just bought a set of Mud Machines, i like the race tires but for my type of riding i absolutely hate hate hate spinnin the tires outa control, every tire i had slipped to much for me ( stockers and Holeshot XCT's and Razr II's), even my Realtors slipped to much for me cause when u get them wet their tread pattern doesnt catch since each tread is the same ya know, but the Mud Sharks have done very well, its time for a new set and i always wanted the Mud Machines. As far as front tires i just wanted to try these, i love tryin new tires, stockers did awesome, Holeshots were better, the Maxxis Front Pros were good and strong, now im gonna try these meaty beasts, i like em so far

Mark and Annihilator, thanks guys some good replies there. the a1/a2's sound like they rev like a 2 stroke, quick. But after reading what annihilator said about the 109's, they might be the way to go for the long hills. To everyone that I offended in my last post, I am sorry. Mrhp you make great stuff, please continue to do so. Like was said earlier, just keep building good things, and people will continue to support you. Thebigshow, great post man. Jed

I have A1/A2's in my stock bore/stroke, 14:1hpr piston, TheBom porting, 1mm larger intake/exhaust, hpr drag pipe, hpr48 lectron with a Dennis Packard powerjet that made 70 hp and 50 ftlbs of torque at 7900 rpm Saturday on TheBoms dyno. It made max power under 2 seconds all on pump 110 race gas, no power adders. I've not had the chance to run any other cam but I'm extremely happy with the performance of the A1/A2's with my mod combo. After drag racing several buddies on Saturday perfomance was confirmed...The Baja pulled strong bottom through the top. There's nothing more satisfying knowing your quad is perfectly tuned. Thanks for the complements but really TheBom and HPR deserve most the credit. TheBom has put together a head combo that works really well that costs several hundred dollars (sometimes a thousand dollars) less than some of the race heads out there. I think with a little alky or fuel additive 75+ hp will be in reach and with NOS....more. Woohoo! All I need to do now is shave weight off me and the Baja. Hopefully I can keep it together for Aledo.
