Cam choice
#72
Well, Heres my input on cams. I run the web cam 4.25 260 duration, my 720 has beat some of the high dollar big bores, I dont know if its the cams, But I do know they work great throughout the entire power range.

Crazy painter sure did open a can of worms with this thread. It's gone from wanting to know about 2 very specific cams to pirateing someone elses technology This aint brain surgery! It's about an air pump, and trying to make it work more efficiently. If anybody wants to know the HPR cam dimensions that bad to copy them, all they have to do is buy one, then they can measure and copy to their little lowlife hearts content. In the meantime the rest of us will just keep on keepin' on. H out.

I must not have read this entire thread, I just cant see how and why anyone would want to steal HPR cam specs. Like you said H, If someone wanted them THAT BAD they would just buy them and copy them right? I dont get it.

Randy said it in his last post , only one reason people would want his specs to steal from him, so buying a cam and copying it is out. People will have resort to more devious means of getting that highly classified intel.

how many people on here actually have the resources to reproduce a cam? the power curve is a good point the longer the engine stays in the sweet spot the better. that would be a good place for most to look to make a cam choice.

I guess when you copy to get were your at , you get perinoid about what you have getting copyed.
Have a great day.

aww shucks 222 i aint that smart lol, i dont care much about specs, i take the makers word for it as far was what will give me good low end vs mid range vs top end, if it takes a .123 grind 123 duration doesnt concern me cause im not a mechanic, i want to eat and enjoy the pie baby, not cut it up and study the filling

I don't see it being a big deal either way. Almost all the fast guys on street bikes don't give out specs on
cams, and no one worries about it at least those who ride them anyway..I can name 5 engine builders for top running bikes in the AMA who will not disclose any cam specs, and they all agree if you don't like it, go buy one from someone else. There is always someone else willing to sell you something.
I have his cams and I don't care what the specs are, they open valves when they need to be, and shut em' when they need to be. Eric setup my combo, and these are what he recomended. Its all about having a complete package and who better to decide, than the guy who designed the stuff. I have seen
his stock bore, stock stroke upset some pretty big motor'd stuff.
