the power gains the endcap put out are not much more than the hmf. check hpresearch web page its right there in black and white. plus you save a few pounds with the hmf over stock so i think that would almost equal things out. if money is a issue get a endcap but if 220.00 bucks is not a problem get the hmf. jm2c got my hmf on the way. end cap is going bye bye.

 

I hated my HMF....Too loud, tried the quiet core, killed all the power gains....Thing finally broke right at the mid mount,,,,threw it away....Made my own end cap,,,better power,,,better sound,,,,quieter....see my photos,,,,dyno tested. I did try an FMF,,,thought it was pretty good,,,nice sound,,,good power....I would go for an end cap or an FMF. FMF does a lot of dyno testing....

 

FMF may do alot of dyno testing, I don't know, but they appear to have stuck a 400ex can on a ds650 midpipe and called it good. The FMF lost about 5hp at peak on the dyno compared to Crate stock.

What ever happened with the HMF quiet series you were going to be dynoing on a DS last month. ANy numbers?

 

It seems that HMF landed a contract with Tucker Rocky and have been supplying them with all their exhaust manufacturing capabilites while telling the rest of us poor boys that our exhaust would ship in 3 days. Then the order is lost, the shipment is lost, they get amnesia, etc...
SUPPOSEDLY, exhausts are in route if a terrorist doesn't take out the ups truck or some other far fetched story.
