Default Hard Starting = Drained battery

I am starting to see a problem with starting my DS. When its warm it will fire instantly. When its really cold out....it will act like its about to start but never gets there and eventually I wear the battery down. Just tonight the temp dropped about 25 degrees in about an hour. I fired it up to move it then just over an hour later it did it to me. It was defiantley cold. I have only moded my main jet, not my pilot jet.

It also backfired out the pipe.......must be flooded.

Are you useing the choke? When its cool out try and start it with the airbox lid on.

I wish I could make it but I have to work on the DS. New clutch and oil, radiator cap and little stuff like that. That gearing should be perfect for that hill.

If your giving your bike gas with the choke out it may flood out.

Just put some duct tape on it and come out. Nobody will give you a real run anyway.

I am wondering if my idle is too high and with my choke on its automaticly flooding.

took out one of the spark plugs threw it in the wire wheel and it fired right up. So its time for new plugs.

Need to check them. The previous owner told me he had it all done.
