Come on Down! Spring break is over, but the fun hasn't stopped. Big poker run this weekend. I just wonder where these guys get the money for these boats and then be able to run them.
I've got the same mods on my chevy hd 2500 with the 8.1. If I get to 100mph, I use up a whole tank of gas.

Pismo is about 160 miles from where im at. Doing about 75 to 80 with my trailer as soon as i get there i have to go fill the beast up before i even think about hitting the dunes . 25 gallons one way, the gas light comes on right before i get into the town. budman how far is lake havasue from the california arizona border?

 

We're still new to the area so I might be off a little or alot. Needles is about 45 minutes away. I think Barstow is about 2 hours. Most of our friends from Oxnard, Moorpark, Temecula or Ramona make it in about 5 hours or more. I'll have to look at a map and see where you're at.

Stock DS speed will differ with to many options to list, biggest one is the year since the big changes, was easy in 2002 when u had the standard DS and the Baja, not anymore which is a very good thing, keep 'em comin!

Results with radar, on pavement, compliments of a friend that works in law enforcement:

YFZ 450: HMF; no airbox lid; K&N; 20" tires; and stock gearing = 69 mph

DS 650: HMF; modified airbox; unifilter; 22" tires; and stock gearing = 83 mph

KTM 525 MXC: stock = 95 mph

my last ds 2000 (100% stock) went 73 mph i was also 190 lbs then. my new ds also a 2000 with my mods went 91 mph. i have a 88 ford ranger with a 302 stroked to a 347 lenteck c-4 with 3200 stall. wen i had the 308 gears in it (traction issues) it went 126 mph with my old ds in the back.
