Well, not sure I understand the question, but here goes. There should be a draw on the battery with the key on. The way to check it is, turn the key off, remove the negative cable, clamp a test light to the battery cable, touch the point of the test light to the negative post on the battery, if the test light lights there is a draw. If it does not light there is no draw. If you find there is no draw, better start looking at the battery. The DS is not known for having the best batteries.
Hope this helps.

You can also hook up a voltmeter instead of the test light and check the current flow. Do this in series, with the key off. There can be a small draw, something on the order of 150 milamps, and that shouldnt drain the battery. If its much more than that, youll either have to find out why, or add a battery disconnect switch, and use that when the quad sits for a while.

Default charging or battery draw not sure

that same thing happened to mine right after i bought it, it did it every time i rode it... i brought it in and they couldnt find anything

wrong, they said it was ok ( bull $hit) , and i was starting fine the whole time they had it, as soon as i got it home ----dead

cant figuire it out but if you do a search you will find your answer--- i can read it but cant figuire out what they mean and how to fix it

i tried to explain it to the dealer and they have no idea either...if you find out whats wrong and can explain it let me know..

mine tries to turn over but then it sounds like it over revs and starts clicking....good luck
