i have been riding a DS for about 2 months now... i bought a 2001 DS650.. has T4 Exhaust. REJETTED, Tusk Nerfbars, RPM Standard Grab Bar, Armadillo XC Front Bumper. Polished battery COVER, MODDED AIRLID, K&N Filter with OUTERWEAR, i believe it has a aftermarket REV BOX but not sure.
being 275 6'3" i'd have to say this is the most comfortable quad i have ridden...nothing needs to be updated on this quad....yes it has some things that could have been improved right out of the factory...but then for people like me that would take the fun out of fixing and modding a quad... why have a perfect quad... there is no such thing..but the ds650 SURE DOES COME CLOSE......

No. You are not alone. But why mess with perfection?
They did make some changes through the years

I'm wondering why Bombardier hasn't done anything to their DS. Yamaha got working and made the Raptor 700r, Polaris did a whole bunch of mess to the Predator, and how about the DS? I know some will say nothing needs to be changed to the DS, but that's not true. You all know it's to wide, a bit too heavy and some other stuff. I would really like to see a better and improved DS with reverse a 400 dry weight and some other goodies. Am I alone or what?

I don't know whether to believe the BS that comes out of magazines or the more experinced forum, but I heard those changes made the DS slower and screwed the handling. Sure the DS is an awesome quad, but every body has different customs. The DS is way to big for me! I'm lazy too, I don't want to pick up a +500 pound quad and turn it around when bombardier could just put reverse. Don't get me wrong, it's fast but it's way to big for some people. But lets enjoy the competition!
