have you found a tip over switch on the 954 harness? and dealt with it yet? I am just starting my first late model honda (cbr1000RR) so am not that familiar with hondas systems but if you dont have the tip over switch on the big suzukis and yamahas in an upright position(generally it will say on the box which side is up) you will lose spark and pump power. I like to stay with the factory ignition switch and factory bar switches and always run the guages. it eliminates a lot of hassles like yours. generally tip over switches can be removed but there is some cicuitry inside them that cant be seen that makes removing them difficult if your not an electronic whiz. I have found its better to hold the switch in an upright position , remove its cover and fill the switch with hot glue to hold the internals in the proper position. on a suzuki , inside the switch you will find a swinging pendulum that when the bike is layed over to far swings into contacts on the side of the box killing the ignition and fuel pump. guess it eliminates the pump from emptying the tank and starting a fire and also keeps the bike from falling on the throttle and continuing to run. I would find a factory ignition switch as well . hope this helps

found the t.o.s on my 05 cbr1000rr harness and its right up next the the instrument cluster. if your missing the small piece of harness that goes between the instruments and main harness you will not have a TOS and I dont think your bike will run. should do exactly as you described, no spark, no injection pump

Bigger,
Hes right about the tip over sensor, it does have some sort of relay inside you cant bypass, but, you can make it work for you. If your planning on dragging this thing at an event, your more than likely going to need a teather. Ive searched, but couldnt find a teather to work with these new ignition systems, so, I modified the TOS to act as my teather. Sorry to hear your having electircal issues. Without being there, its hard to say what the problem is, but on this end, it doesnt sound like your ECM, it sounds like your TOS, or your kick stand switch. Just my 2 cents.

Yea Jeffroe ,your ds busa is gabes old bike. I recognize the knurled aluminum round foot pegs and the cup holder was my idea. he wanted to build me one of those aluminum swing arms for my bike but it looked a little light. how did that arm work out? LOL ! just kidding I already know. nice looking ride now. will put some pics of my newest bike , the bombusa II on my page in a few days. should be a hoot

yes i found out the weak link being the swing arm i was jumping mine and landed side ways and snap!!! i have a strong chrome moly one now should hold up. the only other problem was with the alum sprocket going bad after every trip, gary at performance machine made me a steel one i have yet to test but should last. i think it's great you'r going to build these machines for the public, there is just no one out there able to build them the way you and gabe do. the only bad thing is i might not be the fast guy anymore when you'r machines start showing up
p.s. is gabe ever going to finish his turbo snowmobile motor quad? i hear he is a land owner now, and no more time for toy's. to bad maybe you should go kick him in the azz and wake him up

old gabe is a monkey see monkey do kind of a guy. just as soon as I built a busa, he saw mine and started his. he even had me email him all kinds of measurements. as soon as I sold my busa he sold his , as you well know. I then started a turbo snowmobile quad and of course he quickly jumped on the band wagon. (which didnt bother me to much because I sold him the atv frame and the snowmobile! LOL! I found the turbo to be to big of a hassle and found an easier way to make power so gabe culled the idea as well. mine is done and has been for months but his is still in its "pile of parts stage". gabes ok , I have known him since he was 15 or 16 and he first came to one of my bike shops. yea , he is now in way over his head on property . hope he makes out ok.

The Bank-Angle sensor is the "tip-Over" sensor. It tested out fine according to the Honda Manual. I bought a second ECM but it didnt help either. I guess I will just need to spend the extra cash and get me a Speedo, and see what the computer says is wrong. ANybody know of were I could find one cheap? The tach doesnt even have to work, so long as the Code light indicator works.
thanks.
Bigger.
