OK, Gary from TVI told me to have someone check my trigger coil before I buy one.

It passed the static test but failed the dynamic test.

Now when we put the pin connector together to check some other things, it fired up.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

So I possibly have a bad pin connector( WE had to push some wire into the connector to get the meter to work).

I was told to buy another one anyway.

I am going to hook the MSD back up tonight or this weekend. Hopefully, it will work.

 

Well, I couldn't wait.

Props to Gary at TVI. He's one sharp Cat that seems to come up with solutions that are probably obvious in his experience but, to most of us who haven't had the experience they are Out of the Box ideas!

i just got around to really testing it.

Eaglecollector reminded me that I was having issues when the bike got warm even before I lost the spak.

I ran it up to 200* and it's holding up fine.

Maybe I had two problems.

The pin and the rectifier that I changed a few days ago.

Hay Al. It sounds like a connection problem for sure. The only problem is if you were not able to pinpoint the problem connection you still have a problem lerking in the woods. If you havn't done so already, take some time and look over the connections for the faulty one. If you already have then I will shut my pie hole.
