Default Does it mater which way ? ( Front Sprocket)

Hey guys I noticed my front sprocket was wearing a little so I flipped it over. Does this matter? One side is a liitle recessed out more than the other but it seems to run fine. What do you think? Thanks, D

I believe the sprocket is different on the sides is because it holds the sprocket away from the case; hence the chain away from the case. I wouldn't do it.

It will also cause it to be slightly out of line with the rear sprocket and will cause excessive wear on both.

edit:
I just checked and rocky mountain has 14 thu 16 tooth primary drive sprockets in stock and they are less than 15 bucks
