If I go by just whatthe dyno showed then it would have 50hp, with only 40lbs of tq. I have seen more than a fiew moters that the Tque is doule or almost, So the nubers the dyno shop gave me seem to be more acutate then cutting them in half. It has allot of power and to think that it had 50 hp but only 40#s of TQ I know can't be right. .
not in the atv world. I've never dyno'ed an atv with more torque than horsepower. I don't remember the numbers exactly, but the torque number you gave would be few ft lbs higher than stock torque on the 800 if you cut it in half.

PS: it has nothing to do with dual probes! They just didn't select the correct ignition in their dyno program to read the rpm for a twin cylinder 4 stroke

I herd from some sled guys this evening that the wheel dyno can not be used with any kind of acuracy on cvt drive machine. Since the motor revs up imidiatley do to the clutch engagement it holds it and then its all about the clutch. Based on my dyno curve the peak HP rage is held on my twin peakes fom 5 mph to about 55 mph and I am told at that point it starts to drop off because it is blowing through the clutch that I could hold the power up longer by adding more weights to the CVT.
