crazyds i have friend with a yfz450 he made his own end cap and but the timing a tooth and it ran alot better than stock but my ds with 46hv, race port intake, and end cap i could beat him with about 150lbs mor than him with me and machine.

I DO 300 FT DIRT AND WITH THE SETUP I HAVE NOW IM RUNNING IN A CLASS THEY CALL STOCK BUT YOU CAN HAVE PIPES CDI JETKIT 2" BIGGER TIRES AND I TAKE MOST THE STOCKERS

When you run race gas and don't need it you are usually running rich with it because of the slower burn. Probably didn't hardly need to choke it to start either. This is info passed on to me from my tuner when I did the same thing.

IS IT BAD TO RUN RACE GAS ON STOCK BORE OR TO SWITCH FROM PUMP TO RACE

Will it hurt anything? No. Just your wallet with an unnecassary expense. Your bike runs best with the most volitale burn you can get which is just before detonation. Race gas is a slower burn so its not as hot with the lower compression. My stock comp 03 DS runs 87, my 02 when it had the 11.5 ran 93, 14-1 I ran 110 no issues with detonation good power output. Run the lowest octane you can without pinging for the most power.

I am not convinced yet about the running rich thing,but that could account for running cooler on racegas. Everything else sounds good to my ears.
