I just thought that i would share my day with you all. I went riding with my cousin and a few of his freinds, they were new to me,lol. First my cousin and i played around his house for a bit after puttin a new water pump on his truck. He had asked if i wanted to ride for awhile with some guys he knows and had commented about the one freind having a new outlander 800, and i was excited to see it and ride it. While riding around for a bit i my cousin wanted to see me open it up, he has never seen me ride it and was curious to see how it performed since i have told him that it was pretty quik. Now my cousin has a kfx700 with hmf pipes and it always impressed me until i got my ds. So to get to the point about this one. We did a few drag races on the road, the ds was the winner, but of course you all prolly knew that already. So we switched quads because i am 150 and he is 290, i got him for a little bit but than he walked away from me, remember he was on my quad. He was very impressed with the over all power. Now for the second part. We finally got out to his freinds place, where we find that they are proccessing a hog, lol. The one guy there was his freind that had the outy. We were there for about 20 mins before he asked if we wanted to give it a test drive. Wow was i syked. My cousin took it down the road first, boy was that thing flyin, it looked very fast, and by the way it was in 2 wheel drive. That thing had no problem doin a wheelie, just blip the throttle and it was up. I was next to ride it and of course i took it easy because its not mine. But I can tell ya that that 800 is one mean machine, there's no doubt in my mind that it would woop up on most sport quads, man that thing pulls. When the guy was done with the hog he came out to join us. This guy was about my size a buck 50. We road for a few mins and then he wanted to drag race me because he has road a ds650 and knew they were quik. I actually thought that i might loose so i was nervous. We draged about 4 times and i won everytime. But the point is, is that he hung right with me until 5th gear, i mean i was ahead but barelly and when i hit 5th thats when i started pulling ahead. My cousin and the guy raced also but that kfx didnt stand a chance with my cousin on it. So i jumped on the kfx and barelly and i mean barelly out ran the 800, as a matter of fact the outy got me pretty good out of the hole. So what i'm tryin to say here is, that outy 800 is one BAD A$$ machine, and if i ever buy a 4 wheel drive it will be a outy. Them bomb boys really did a great job on the outy. I hope he does'nt hop up that outy any or i will prolly loose. That thing road like a caddy too, a very smooth quad and i rate it a 10 for all catigoreis.

Thats why i love my outty. Was it an xt or regular model. The xt models are slower than the regular models cuz of 40's of acc(winch, bumpers, etc.) and heavier tires. My regular outlander 800 was only 3 lengths back at the gecko drags to a brand new raptor 700 and it beat all the 400ex's and z400's, some 450's, and some raptors(not all) Its faster than one of my DS's and just slightly slower than my other ones, i couldnt be happier with it and a 5 year warranty to boot!

Redbomber, I don't know if it would but I did look at that. I do think though that it would be a job to convert it all. If I heard the guy right I think he said the 800 only weighed 620 lbs and it's in stock trim no accs. yet. If you get a chance to ride one be carefull with the throttle because it will stand right up out of the hole. I hav'nt drag raced mine since I put the pipe and 15 tooth sprocket on it until then, that sure helped out of the hole. It was cool because when I shifted into second it carried the front wheels for about 5-10 ft and it never did that before and I can't full throttle from a slow roll in first or it will try to back flip. If you hav'nt ridden an outy 800, when you do you will be impressed.
