does the lectron 46 carb work with the ims desert tank

Yeah, it will work but you will have to use the stock tank spacers to clear the carb even with the 90 degree cable, the talk will then have about a one inch gap between the seat and tank, not the most sightly setup but you'll have performance AND range.

I have the 46HV, the IMS tank and not nearly as much spacing as the stockers. I think I have the stockers cut down in half or 3/4 height. I then also heated the bottom of the tank so I could pound a small bulge to give my cable more room. Wasn't hard and now my cable moves quite freely. There is some gap between the seat and tank but nothing horrible. If I was worried about it I could probably get another 1/4 inch but I'm not concerned about it.
