Stock cam timing question.

After getting the correct head volume for 11:1 compression for my 730; My head is raised up a bit from stock. Now the cam timing marks don't line up perfect. I can make them a little advanced or a little retarded from stock position. What would be my best choice. All I do is trail ride. However, I never run my mouth, but sometimes I have to represent if needed.
The motor, for now, has stock cams, stock carb, stock air box, and stock ignition, the only mods are 730 cc, bigger valves, 11:1, a little grinding in the head, and an end cap.
Any opinions would help. Thanks.

Ive ran a sleeved 730 with 1 tooth advanced on the cam and also advanced on pick-up with the ron woods box. It had great top end but the bottom suffered when on gas not alky.
Depending on how close the marks are I would go retarded if you trail ride. I have never tried it so I cant say much about it. You should have some serious bottom end though.
EDIT:Whoops Sorry it wasnt stock cams.

1- Retarding cams make more top end - Advancing cams make more bottom end.
2- When on left side of motor looking at cams:
a. Motor turns counterclockwise.
b. If intake cam(right side) - timing marks are level. It is normal for the exhaust cam to be slightly retarded. That is, exhaust cam to be clockwise a few degree's. Under load, from crank pull and the hydralic tensioner pressing harder, the cams will be more parallel.
3- By raising the cylinder and head you have caused the chain to pull the cams more counterclockwise or advance the cams. One tooth on the chain is 21 degree's. You can only retard the intake cam. This moves the intake valves even further from having interference with the piston. With the 730 you need more top end. This extra overlap will draw more air/fuel into the cylinder. I would not retard the exhaust since it may hit the piston.
