I was just reading the ATV 4-wheel magazine about the DS and raptor and thaught it was really bias on the Raptor.They say that the best over all quad in the sand was the Raptor.They also say that the DS and the Raptor both toped out at 74.9 mph,while the dirtwheels magazine clearly says the DS has a better top end.I do believe that the Raptor is better in the woods then the DS,simply because of its size,but better in the dunes????? I dont think so.They also say that you would have to spend money on a RON-WOOD stage 1 kit to compete with the Raptor,But on the same page that it says that, (lo-and behold),their is a add for the RON-WOOD kits.YEA-RIGHT.I did not see no adds for the DS,but man they sure got them for the Raptor.I wonder if their is any $ going on behind the scenes.What did you guys think? Did they give the DS a fair shake??????

 

agreed! I think the same thing! The ds is a better machine then people give it credit for. I'd love to be the RIDER in that shootout vs. the raptor. I dont care if it is wes miller, your not going to learn all about the ds in 2 hour's of riding. I guarantee that. Agreed?

 

Its all about the $$$$$. DW and 4-wheel atv action are basicly the the same magazine. So they will have the same reviews. When I get my ATVSPORT they will say some thing total different. I garente that Yamaha are paying them guys out the a$$ to hype up the raptor. plus look how big yamaha's add is in there, its 2 pages. There some big bucks in that.

I just got that mag tonight and read it and thought the same thing.THey said lots of good things about the ds but then said the raptor is the "clear winner"I agree there has to be some kind of money somewhere that there isn't supposed to be.
