Default RENEGADE 800!!!!

It looks like the body design guy had a drawing, didn't like it, wadded up the paper and threw it on the floor.

Then somebody picked it up and that's the design they used. Wrinkles and all.

but sounds like a lot of fun, all 4 pullin' with dat BIG twin,,,,, I like the idea.

Don't worry your DSX 450 Twin is coming
450 twin.....i sort of think not..this has been on here forever a 450 twin two stroke....now a 450 twin four stroke and look no sport quads at all bomb just keeps making these heavy assed fairly fast 4by4s instead of a 700cc sized sport quad with EFI....hell even if they lightened the ds by 20 pounds and kept it around the same size but opened up the engine some from factory it would be a almost new machine to the market....but it looks like another year of no sport models while the ds keeps getting farther and farther behind the competition and needs more and more mods from the owners to keep up with the new crop of bikes comming out from other dealers. You think bomb would realize that if they made another machine that made such a "WOW" on the sport quad market they could sell allot....hopefully they will in the next year...but im thinking thats a BIG hope.

I think it's a nice looking machine - unique, for sure. But then again, I happen to think that a Banshee looks better than any of the current sport machines , so maybe it's just me.

There's really only 2 things I don't like about this Renegade: 1) It's heavy, and 2) it's a CVT tranny.

Somebody needs to build a true sport 4x4 quad - it needs to have big power, EFI, selectable 2/4wd, great suspension, under 500 lbs., and a manual tranny! I'll even take IRS and an auto clutch if need be - I don't want an auto tranny!!! The closest thing to a true sport 4x4 was the original Yamaha Wolverine. Too bad they turned it into an auto-tranny sport utility.........

Unfortunately, I doubt that this will happen. So, I just *might* consider a Renegade after all as my "do-it-all" machine. I'd like to see a different choice of color as well......

Can't wait to c the next issue of Dirt Wheels! The front cover will probably have a modded YFZ on there and the caption will tell us whats the best modd's to get. On page 45 there will be a 1/4 section about the BRP Cam-am Renegade.

Steve10 That's funny but true. Bombardier/Can-Am never gets a fare shake in Yamaha-Honda Wheels I mean Dirt Wheels magazine. I quit buying that mag just for that reason!

If could afford a 13,000 dollar ride, i would buy it in a heartbeat!!!! Im an Arctic Cat fan, but i wouldnt be able to pass that up. Its a sweet looking machine, but im betting its an expensive one too!

You are right, it will probably be in that price range in Canada... Would you go for a Renegade 650 if it existed at 1000 CAD less? or for a Renegade 500 at 1700 less?

Yellow Blood - Good question. I would be interested in a 500 sport 4x4, definately. I think it's a bit premature to say the Renegade is going to cost over $10,000.00. The 800 Outlander sells for $8600.00. Will just have to wait and see.
