Default RENEGADE 800!!!!

Somebody needs to build a true sport 4x4 quad - it needs to have big power, EFI, selectable 2/4wd, great suspension, under 500 lbs., and a manual tranny! I>>>>>>>>>>>

Under 500 lbs huh? Shoot, even my old Beartracker came in at like 470 and it was a 229cc, pull off the racks and save a few lbs.

Anyway, how come these ute's are so darn heavy? Even the new Wolverine is just a Kodiak 450 in sporty plastic but no lighter.

How much weight you suppose IRS might add?

Racks/bumpers could be reduced or in some cases eliminated, go back to plastic racks on the back like the original outlander if it's mostly for sport use. Tires/wheels? Then is the trade off really worth it??

tires and wheels come in at around 50lbs a corner. that alone Steps up the weight Minimum twice the weight of a sporty's tires.. heavier frames, racks, axles, Differentials, Drivelines and ujoints... bla bla bla. Utes have more chit to make em weigh more.

Sorry for duplicating your link Mike. I just seen the new pics and had to share.

As far as the weight of the quad goes, as long as it has reverse, I'm personally more concerned with the power/weight ratio. With reverse and four wheel drive I think the weight of the Renegade is fine. You know the power is there!!!

Man I can't wait for a test ride!

I guess to be accurate. the wheels and tires on that Renagade weigh roughly 114 lbs.. that prolly saves a good portion of the weight right there. along with the racks gone and less plastic.

Yeah i don't think thats happinin
whheels are about 9lbs apiece on that thing and it already has the lightest tires on it. I guess if you went with some wiener wheels and some tripple buff balloons on it maybe shave some more weight..

its definetely not going to own the market because it will cost to much to sell alot of them. I wish it was in a manual also and about 100lbs lighter. some company would own the market if they would make a 500cc efi sport quad with 4x4 like the polaris outlaw with a 4wd system or a 700 raptor 4x4 and then make an auto version of it also just to make everyone happy.

Look to me as they updated the skid plated on the Renagade. I wonder if they have redisigned the Outtty also?
