Things are a little different with quads. You have to have at least 100 units in dealer showrooms before you can race them. That's why Suzuki had to scramble to get some out this year when they were finally done getting the bugs out. So we may see some shortly before the next race season, or about the same time the quadracer came out. Except next year. As far as the 2 stroke thing, I don't think so. It would be producing a lot more power than that. And the 125cc 2 strokes were in the 250cc 4 stroke class, the 250cc 2 strokes were in the 450cc 4 stroke class. It would be very limited as to where it could race if it was a 2 stroke.

They can't do that with the current AMA pro-production class. Maybe in Canada they can.

Not if you want a motor in the quad with the physical size of the DS 650 motor (though lighter) and a powerband that needs to be revved above 10000 rpm to make it's power...that would be a handful to race, like trying to MX a Banshee....

Sweet. Can't wait to see a 450 that kicks all ***, I hope it has ds650 influence as far as suspension is concerned.
