Default does this make sense?

i am ready for a cdi and in my heart i know the vortex is the way to go...

here is my concern.

being on the east coast i have no one to help me with it and program or reprogram it, the way it comes is the way it will have to be....should i still get it even though i have no way to do anything with it except plug and ride!

Yes.....Yes.....and um did I say yes.

The Vortex is as easy as it gets. It has 10 preprogrammed settings. No set up needed. They do not provided you with the curves, only what they suggest the different maps are for. The main performance map is the only one I use, and it made a noticable difference. I will eventually try some of the other maps, but you will not be disappointed

Yes just plug it in it comes with settings that are already programmed in. My husband just got his from Parts Direct it took about 3weeks but it is good and he is happy I got one for my Predator and it is all set up also. They are worth the money if you ask me. Go for it. Get a quote from them and they will give you a discount every little bit helps.

Vortex was one of the best mods I made on my EFI Turbo DS. Solved a lot of issues with performance that other, lesser CDIs couldn't. No more 'back lash' during engine start up either.

Yep, got mine from gopartsdirect.com Great price. I got it, and a new spark arrester screen for my HMF. After Shipping, it was still less then what everyone else asks for the CDI.....

Chris you can't go wrong with getting one. Programing is not a word I would for the magic box. There is a dial on there (at least mine) that you just turn and a chart they provide with you for different power curves. I think I lost my chart somewhere but you can set it for more traction or more top end sort of speak. You will be pleased with it. Get it, it's not as complexed as you think to change the curves if you wish. I felt a difference on the low end settings.
