It wasn't me on the quad when the temp light came on, and I'm not too confident in the information there. It was only like 70 out that day for who ever asked.

IF it was sunny the angle of the sun can make the red light look like it's on....I know I've had to stop a few times and shadow it with my hand to be sure. There is also an oil sending unit that may send a false red light if it gets wet and not dried right away an easy preventitive measure is to seal it in with silicone.
