Dodge Ram or Outlander 800???
Ok, just to update this thread.
I went ahead and picked up the Dodge Ram Bighorn tonight. First impressions? WOW! That Hemi 5.7 litre is SMOOTH. I punched it at around 80, RPM kicked up to like 5.5K and it just took off, very nice. This thing is LOADED, power mirrors, door locks, windows, seats, cruise, A/C, fog lights, 20" chrome wheels, 5.7 Hemi multi displacement (cuts to 4 cylinders on the fwy) pre wired for a trailer, cloth seats, LOTS of storage, large cab, 4 doors.
I'm pretty excited now about taking some long trips.

I THOUGHT that's what I read in the owners manual? Maybe I should double check.

You are comparing engine horsepower of the Chev and Dodge to the rear wheel horsepower of the Ford. The Hemi and Chev on a rear wheel dyno will be showing much less horsepower. This is the cause of the extreme difference. 150 HP is still quite low for the 308 though. I think it is closer to 200 at the wheels.
