sproket hub stuck

Default sproket hub stuck

hey guys i need some help with my sproket hub . its not commin off. i took off the snap ring i tryed heating up the hub i tryed penetrating oil. and nothing is working . the hub isnt moving at all not even 1 mm, and its really starting to **** me off . any tips???????

it needs to be pressed off and then the new one pressed back on. try a machine shop.

Runs a 730 kit from OMW with web109's and a 48mm lectron. It has some serious torque!

lol i beat mine off with a hammer and beat it back on with a hammer although it isnt recommended it worked for me

When I replaced my axle on the ds I used a propane torch and a good rubber mallet. It came off kinda hard but I got it. It would help to have someone helping ya. But I agree on having a shop do it for ya.

Prob the only way to get it off because i also had the same prob is either buy a new axle and hub because mine was shot nehow or get it pressed off like scoobydfw said because I tried air tools and everthing I could think of and wouldn't budge.

well i hope i dont have to buy a new axel cuz i cant afford that . but i brought it to a machine shop and 22 tons coulndt get the hub off . so there ganna heat it up and press it again and there ganna let me know tommorow

lol it took a good hour of pounding to get it off, and another 20-30 mins of pounding to get it back on, it wasnt the best choice and im glad that u are getting it pressed off, i woulda kicked myself if i broke it :-)
