Im not trying to come off with an edge.....LOL!

But, I do want to say that I dont think DS Days needs to be held in a place where sound restrictions will get us "true" dragsters shut down or even ticketed for that matter. I think if "we" are planning to have some sort of organized drags/hillshoots that it will only be fair to be able to run the all out drag pipes without the worry of being shut down. JMO. Other than that....I really dont care where its at. But Im gonna start saving my coins for this trip next year......I might need another piggy bank.

Choose,

I think its a very good thing to point out the pluses and minuses of each area. There are sound restrictions in Oregon for sure. For those that truely drag or have highly modified engines with next to no silencers, it will be a challenge to bring those ATVs to Oregon and not have to worry about the DB Police the whole time. One thing to comment on though, people will be at zero elevation. For those that dont know what that does in terms of power, ask Jed! Z O O M !!!!

For some it might be worth it to consider ways to quiet down those beasts just to enjoy the Oregon Dunes. For others, it will not.

Talking Points!

Yeah, I have heard what the elevation will do to our dragsters....LOL!

Im just thinking out loud,

I would really like to come out and join in on all this fun next year. But Im not willing to make that huge of a sacrifice if Im gonna take a huge chance on getting my bike pulled.

Sound restrictions and organized racing is just a few of my concerns.

Its nice to see people voting today. Right now, Dumont is ahead. Nearly every area got a vote so far, with just about two weeks to go. I hope more conversations about what people will do or not do will arise. If not, I will start asking the organizers directly what they will do and not do if elected! LOL

Sick, remember that DS days isn't about just racing.... It's more for the DS Family to get together. Racing is just a GREAT addition. I love racing the hill... when it's run correctly.

Not to worry, Mario and I will get something going at Dumont if it Kills US!
Bigdaddy,

Ok man its your turn ... You got Dumont and tell us some of your plans of you get the vote. I dont care what they are or how eleborate they are. This is where you set the expectations of what you think DS Days will be like with you running it, hosting it, or simply organizing it at Dumont in 2007 if you get the vote.

I actually think Winnemucca was in the top 10 and if you look on Duneguide there is 25 just in the western and central US. That includes 3 sets in Oregon and they only have one. Just for your information. Smart Butt.

Wow! Only 22 votes thus far? Kind of has the intrest of the past few Presidential elections. Surely we as a community are more involved than this. Let's hope that when the freak toed lizard huggers try to get your favorite dunes shut down that you take more of an active part in keeping them open. Not ranting here, just trying to stir up a little more participation.

See ya at Dumont next year.
