i have naver had a belt atv before my traxter max xt and honda all have gears but i just bout two outlander an 800 max xt and a 650 xt how long are belts good for and i was think or replaceing them ever three years is that two soon?

 

I wouldn't think you would need to replace them any sooner then that with 'average' use

 

it depends if you slip your belts and start getting chatter. if that happens lightly buff them with some 80 grit sand paper to get rid of the glazing and you should be good to go for a while. saves the 180$ on a belt you would spend.
