well I say that because when I ride and I am flying in like 4th gear over woops and doing wheelies I tend to see some oil coming out of the filler kneck...not a whole lot but I can visibly see it or is yours just coming out running?...becuase then I don't see how it is possible but if you ride and and see some then I can see where you might get some oil, otherwise it may be your vent line because that is the next closest thing or something is spraying the oil...take off the front fascia and see if you can pinpt where exactly the oil is coming from.

 

Maybe the baffle inside the tank broke off... can you see it inside the oil tank?

 

I did have it overfilled by about a half quart when this was happening, but it wasnt like pressure spraying everywhere, just a steady leak. the last ride I did was at dumont trying to stay with aceisback and his son up and down some crazy shiat

 

WTF is the baffle? is it on the parts diagram???? I cannot see any cracks in the welding

 

It's part of the oil tank... its the piece inside the filler tube with small hole that the dip stick slides into. It keeps the oil from sloshing up the filler tube. If it broke off inside the tank, it would let a lot of oil flow up to the dip stick seal.

I will replace the lines, and the o-ring on the dipstick, and roll from there. in the final analysis, if it is still leaking, i will replace the front oil tank too.

 

Well you got me stumped here... I guess the only thing to do is what you have planned... start with the o-ring and the oil line (thats the cheap stuff)... if thats not if you can always pick up an oil tank from ebay for pretty cheap.
