<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: Redstone

The thing I like about this quad so much is that how it would match my favorite style of dune riding.

I love cross country duning. short jumps over razor backs and dune trail riding. Which is why I got the EX. I cant even imagine what it would be like to have something like this, light and nimble fully loaded with the best suspension and better brakes and steering. Everything about it shelves all the work I put into my EX.

Now, as long as they haven't made any stupid mistakes like, leaving out a flag mount, then we should be good to go.

I tell you what CanAM, you let me take it out for a weekend and I'll point out anything else thats obviously wrong! LOL - HA! J/K! - I think they thought of everything!

The next thing they will do is have specific versions, like one for duners, one for dirt racing etc etc.</end quote></div>
That'd be cool haha. 450Rd, 450Rmx, 450Rxc..Pimp lol. I'm so excited for this bike..

Well, the next vid will show the "Drive Line and Rear Suspension" just another few days. Any guesses?

Im thinking new swingarm maybe, certainly long travel shocks. Probably some really lightweight chain.

Seems like it is more a MX machine than XC, but I want one! Just afraid at what parts will cost. I used to hate getting parts for my DS. Parts for my YFZ are half as much and way more options.
I'm sure some will disagree and thats okay.
If you run a full season of MX or XC racing including practice, things will need to be replaced as it wears out or breaks. Or in my case, gets bent!
If you are out cruising the dunes I can't see it being an issue and that is good. They make the 650 for the dunes.

Can-Am is being soo mean to kawasaki by releasing the kick@$$ machine that will murder kfx450r's SO SOON after the kfx450r's release

I wonder what shocks it uses...... probly ohlins right???? I like FOX Shocks beter- they have no springs, just air (i think you can hook them up to compressed air tanks to adjust stiffness/plushness

why would you need reverse on a quad that weighs 17lbs less than the competitors (i think it is 5 less for the frame, 3 less for the a-arms, and 9 less for the rear end)

as long as the motor does not weigh much more than the competitors, It should end up weighing around 333lbs, are YOU too lazy to lift 333lbs? then why do so many of you own ds650s?

Its's not about being lazy. It's not like someone who doesn't have reverse is just gonna sit there and wait for someone to turn them around. It's about convenience. It's a perk, not a necessity. This is just me, but I'd rather shift in reverse to back out or turn around in a tight trail, than get off and lift and pull it. Just so I don't offend any of the people who HATE reverse, I'm not saying all quads have to have it, but a lot of people like it.

The DS has KYB shocks with 9.5" in front and 10.5" in rear of travel. All fully adjustable with rezzies.

All dry waits by OEMS are exagerated. I'm interested to see when the mx crowd needs to widen out the quad how it will ad to the weight of the quad since they will probably have to go to chromoly arms and axle.. I can't wait to see the motor.. Oh,, ATK is working on stuffing the Aprillia Vtwin in an all new frame not the Cannondales aluminum frame..
