I recently was riding through some brush and a limb cutting jammed up next to the engine and took out one of my radiator hoses as well as the clutch cable perch that is cast into the clutch cover. Has any one had this problem? I tried cleaning the area and bonding the cable back to what's left with JB weld but it failed after about an hour of riding. Will the clutch cover have to be changed or is their a good patch fix? Anybody have a clutch cover for sale? Thanks.

every once in a while a clutch cover is up on ebay...
only thing you can do besides replace it is have a local weld shop weld it for you, quick tig welding can take care of it without significant warpage.
remove the clutch cover and take it in to have it done, and take cable with you too so they can make sure it still fits after welding and do whatever tweeking need be if not.

i broke mine about 1 month ago trying to put a rm250 clutch cable that i bought and put on and it still had the bottom circle on the case and took a thin piece of aluminum and drill it for the clutch case bolt which is closest to the cable mount and bent it over to hold it in its place.also ziptied the cable to water pump hose right by it just incase the aluminum would give.the zips probably would ve worked by themselves but the aluminum gives me something more to polish lol.been working great and dont see no problems in the future with this setup either.on a seperate note my local dealer wanted $94 bucks for the cable and i matched it to a suzuki cable i got for $20 and shouldve drilled out the case a hair for the new cable but decided to "nudge " it open a hair more with a screw driver.i dont recomend the nudge method because thats what broke it when istalling the new cable.best of luck either way.
